Position: Housekeeping Supervisor

🔎 About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join RIU Plaza New York as a Housekeeping Supervisor. In this role, you will be integral in driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional guest experiences by leading, motivating, and supporting our diverse, multicultural team. You’ll leverage your expertise in supervisory management, inventory control, and high-standard cleaning services to contribute to our commitment to excellence and innovation, maintaining an upbeat, proactive, and service-oriented environment every day.

💼 What You’ll Do

• Review finished rooms, ensuring compliance with hotel standards for cleanliness, tidiness, and presentation.

• Verify hotel standards in hallways, assigned areas, and common spaces.

• Coordinate and manage the chambermaid/room attendant staff, including task assignment, productivity monitoring, and support in incident resolution.

• Control and record inventories (amenities, linen, cleaning products, and supplies).

• Report defects, damage, or maintenance needs to the corresponding department.

• Train and mentor new staff, reinforcing procedures and best practices.

• Ensure compliance with internal safety policies and hotel protocols.

• Assist with the management of VIP rooms, special inspections, and front desk requests.

• Address and follow up on internal complaints or situations requiring immediate intervention.

• Coordinate room delivery times between housekeeping and the front desk to guarantee availability and operational efficiency.

• Lead by example.

• There should be a good spirit of teamwork, so that work can go right for everyone.

✔️ What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in supervisory roles, ideally in hospitality or housekeeping services.

• Charisma and strong interpersonal skills (essential requirement).

• Proactive, responsible, and service-oriented attitude.

• Availability to work weekends and holidays.

• Ability to manage multicultural teams.

• Basic inventory management skills.
